I was the mobile product designer for The Cultivation Project's Klema iOS app. I designed this app using Sketch.
Problem
There is no single, secure platform for missionaries to fundraise and share updates with supporters. Missionaries want to spend less time creating newsletters, email blasts, and taking care of mailing lists, and more time doing the work they were called to do.
Goal
Klema exists to provide missionaries with a single platform to efficiently write updates, grow partnerships, and fundraise with supporters around the world. Klema also acts as a one-stop-shop for every missionary & ministry that a person supports.
How it Works (try it)
I designed the app to be intuitive from both a supporter's perspective as well as a missionaries' perspective. As a missionary, they can simply click the "+" button on the bottom navigation bar to instantly write a prayer request (almost like a status update), blog post, create a community, or start a fundraiser.
As a supporter (or follower), the main content feed shows all of the latest blog posts, fundraisers, and prayer requests from people who they choose to follow. Supporters have the option to "like", add to a journal (to save for later), and instantly comment or donate if they choose.
The best part of working on the Klema iOS app design was the ability to talk to missionaries to get their feedback and implement changes instantly. I had the opportunity to present Klema to a room full of people to gather instant feedback and impressions.
